Chocolate Brownie Batter Blizzard

The base is an adaptation of my chocolate creamy breakfast shake, and the brownie will look familiar to anyone who has seen my 5-minute Espresso Walnut brownies earlier in the week. The two are combined to create a rich, creamy drink.

Even just looking at the picture again makes me want to buy another. You can’t taste the strawberries at all. The base is rich in chocolate flavor. Even if you don’t like bananas, I recommend you try it.

No-bake brownie pieces melt into the shake and become all creamy and fudgy. Each bite is better than the previous one.

What’s the best part? This is healthy enough for breakfast. There’s plenty of sugar, but it comes from natural sources. It also contains no gluten, dairy, or unhealthy fats. I told you that it was perfect for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • Chop two bananas ripes before freezing.
  • 3 cups frozen strawberries
  • 2-3 heaping Tbsp cocoa OR cacao powder
  • One heaping tablespoon of salted almond butter
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups vanilla almond milk unsweetened (can substitute with soy or coconut).
  • One dash of agave or stevia nectar, depending on the sweetness of the bananas
  • 1/4 cup of ice
  • Two brownies (5-minute espresso walnut brownie // crumbled)

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients, EXCEPT the brownies, in a blend until smooth.
  • Add more stevia, agave, or honey if you want a sweeter drink. If you want it thinner, either add more almond milk OR less ice.
  • Divide into two glasses as per the original recipe and top with crumbled brownies. Serve immediately, or cover and freeze for later.
