Smoothie Summer in a Cup

Recently, I helped host a bridal shower. The host had the brilliant idea of having a slush bar and gourmet S’mores in front of a fire pit. Best shower ever.

I was chosen as the recipe generator for smoothies, so I came up with a few different variations, which were then made into recipe cards that guests could follow. One of the recipes was Summer in a Cup, and it turned out to be a favorite among guests.

The base is made with a frozen banana and a lot of raspberries. This creates a creamy, thick, cold base with a contrast of sweet and tart flavors. Then, unsweetened Almond Breeze Almond Milk, orange juice, and pomegranate Juice are added for a perfect blend of sweet, creamy, and tart.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups frozen raspberries
  • One banana, frozen and sliced into large pieces (1 cup).
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • Almond Breeze Almond Milk 3/4 cup plain Unsweetened Almond Breeze Almond Milk

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients in a mixer until smooth and creamy, scraping the sides as necessary.
  • Adjust flavor to taste. If the mixture is too thick, add more fruit juice or milk. If the banana is not sweet enough, add more frozen bananas. Serve immediately. Serve immediately.
